I’ve been experiencing a somewhat regular series of system crash events for the past few months. It’s taken awhile to track down the cause of these crashes but I finally found what appears to be the culprit - Paragon’s NTFS For Mac Version 14.2.359. I’ve conducted several tests using two different brand 1TB external hard drives connected to two different side-by-side USB ports (which, by the way caused no problems whatsoever until my recent upgrade to Paragon NTFS For Mac Version 14.2.359. One factor that I can verify without a doubt - as soon as NTFS For Mac is disabled through System Preferences, the system crashes stop. At this point I have the external hard drives connected to the USB ports with NTFS For Mac disabled and have not experienced any system crashes. Below is a copy of my latest system crash report.
It should be noted that when one or both external hard drives were connected to a USB port with NTFS For Mac enabled, system crashes occurred at intervals of 15 minutes to half an hour after each recovery from a previous crash. As you can see this made my entire system unusable.
I look forward to hearing from you once you've had an opportunity to review my current information and decide what is the best way to resolve this issue.
Unfortunately, due to a strict number of characters limited per post (here on your forum) my crash report has been significantly truncated.

File Systems Demystified Different hard drives and operating systems may use different file systems. Popular Topics Here's what that means and what you need to know. Jan 25, 2016 Some of the most common methods of adding NTFS support broke with the recent release of El Capitan, but you can still write to your Windows drives with a bit of tinkering. One of the frustrations of the split Mac and Windows world we live in is that the two giants both use different file systems.

NTFS for Mac is the best such software solution: Reliable, fast, and now affordable as well, version 14 (Paragon skipped unlucky number 13) provides unlimited read/write access to hard drives.
